Federal Workforce

Montgomery County is home to tens of thousands of federal workers and contractors who serve our nation every day. Will understands that when Trump attacks the federal government, he's attacking our neighbors and our local economy. On the Council, Will worked with laid-off federal workers to create a hiring preference in county government, ensuring our community stands by those who serve our nation. He's been a vocal advocate, working directly with federal employees to speak out against shutdowns, pay freezes, and attacks on the civil service. Will has supported emergency assistance programs during shutdowns and stood with unions representing federal employees. As County Executive, Will will be a fierce advocate for our federal workforce, fighting back against Trump's attempts to gut agencies, relocate jobs, and undermine the dedicated public servants who keep our democracy functioning.
