Will has consistently championed bold environmental action and climate justice. He co-led passage of Maryland's first comprehensive building decarbonization legislation, significantly reducing emissions from buildings and setting a model for local climate leadership. He actively supported dedicated funding for our county's Green Bank, strengthened energy benchmarking standards, expanded the C-PACE program for new construction, and advanced forest conservation by securing a strong no-net-loss policy. He proudly partnered with the U.S. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm to bring the innovative SolarAPP+ platform to Montgomery County, dramatically streamlining solar permitting to empower residents and accelerate solar adoption. He will continue fighting to protect our environment, accelerate clean energy solutions, and build an equitable, sustainable future for all residents.
