Stand with Will
to Pause Data Centers

We'll keep you informed as the moratorium bill moves through the process.

A Two-Year Moratorium on Data Centers

Data centers are the fastest-growing consumers of electricity in the region. In Virginia, they already consume 40% of the state's electricity - and that's driving up energy bills for families right here in Montgomery County.

The proposed Dickerson data center site isn't going anywhere. We don't need to rush into a deal that could lock our county into decades of environmental harm, higher utility rates, and taxpayer-funded subsidies for billion-dollar tech companies.

What Will Is Fighting For

  • A two-year pause on new data center construction and permitting in Montgomery County
  • 100% clean energy requirements - any future data centers must be powered entirely by renewable sources
  • Protection of agricultural land and the Agricultural Reserve
  • Union labor standards for construction and operations
  • No tax breaks for data center corporations - our residents shouldn't subsidize Big Tech's profits
  • Community impact assessments before any development moves forward

Will is standing up - are you with him?

Will Jawando is calling for a two-year moratorium on data centers in Montgomery County. He's standing with community leaders, environmental advocates, and residents who refuse to let Big Tech put profits over our neighborhoods.
